Tri-M

Hello Colleagues!

This year is going by so quickly it is hard to believe that we are already nine weeks into our school year! Another huge congrats to Chapman High School Tri-M chapter on receiving the 2014-2015 Tri-M State Chapter of the Year Award!

This year's Tri-M Mini-Conference is going to be a lot of fun! We will be exploring how to become an awesome team for music in your school!

Start planning to attend the Tri-M sessions on Friday morning at this year's KMEA In-Service Workshop in February.

The following activities are going to be part of our fun-filled Tri-M Mini-Conference!
  • Getting Connected: After having such great connections and discussions at our last ISW Mini Conference we are going to have representatives from NAfME collegiate chapters again this year! These students will be willing to connect with YOUR Tri-M chapter. Our goal is to connect NAfME collegiate chapters with Tri-M chapters to get connected and support each other in all things: services, philanthropy, social activities, and more.
  • Keynote Speaker: to be announced
  • Tri-M Sing: We will be learning and singing our National Tri-M Honor Society Loyalty Song together.
  • Icebreaker Challenge: We will be playing, experiencing, and trying different icebreakers that you can take back to you chapter as a fun way to get your chapter revved up
  • Tri-M's Got Talent: Tri-M's Got Talent, the 4th annual Tri-M's Got Talent competition will take place again during our Mini-Conference this year. Please bring a 2-3 minute routine/performance to share with the other contestants of the competition-remember, the more the merrier, so get your chapter involved! A panel of judges will decide who goes home with the coveted "M"ee!!!
Tri-M Means Video

Throughout our Mini-Conference there will be a iPad set up to record students from your chapters sharing what Tri-M means to them. I will be putting a short video together to share with each other so that we can inspire others to join Tri-M and be a part of the Tri-M Family!

Please keep some of the following reminders in on the mind as your chapter works throughout the year:
  • Document everything your chapter is doing. This includes school, community, and chapter activities.
  • Be on the look out for more information on the Tri-M Scholarship.
  • Mark Friday February 26th, 2016 on your calendar for the Tri-M Mini Conference! I hope to see you all there!
