Music Day at the Capitol was held March 10, 2016 in Topeka. Several KMEA representatives spent the day advocating for music education with members of the Kansas State Legislature. Those attending included President Martha Gabel, President-Elect Gretchen Bixler, NAfME Collegiate President Alissa Gomez, Government Relations Advisor Mike Quilling, former KMR Editor Cathy Hunt, and several collegiate students from Kansas University, Friends University, Kansas State University, and Emporia State University.
