Tri-M State Advisor
Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! Kansas is known for being an outstanding state with many great Tri-M chapters with some being National Chapter of the Year! I hope to be able to connect as many Tri-M chapters with one another this year. I have recently been in numerous sharing sessions and I have heard a number of different ways that Tri-M chapters around the state are making a difference for music education! Please remember the following while heading into a new school year!

1. Recruitment: Keep it Simple! Remember that it is not how big or flashy you make your recruitment activities but the relationships that you build during those activities! Have your students express their reason for being a member of Tri-M, they will sell the organization for you.

2. Retention: Have certain members of your club shown their true colors during past activities and throughout the year? Take a look at the current membership and see which students are the best leaders for your organization.

3. Relationships: If you would like to get involved and pair up with another school on a music or service event please contact me at the address shown at the top of this page. There are tons of excellent clubs in our state and I want to help make the connections so you can grow and learn from each other.

4. Have fun: Always remember that we are here to make music come to life for our students, school, community, and for ourselves!
