Tri-M, are you ready for the 2015-2016 KMEA In-Service Workshop Mini Conference? This year's conference will be held Friday, February 26, 2016, in the Service Club Room at Century II. We have a lot of fun and exciting things to discuss, learn about, and work on together. Just a quick reminder for the returnees and for the new people coming to the Mini-Workshop: This workshop is provided to your chapter at no cost. The format for the day is below. The following activities are going to be part of our fun-filled Tri-M Mini Conference!

Tri-M Means Video
Through out our Mini-Conference there will be an iPad set up to record students from your chapters sharing what Tri-M means to them. I will be putting a short video together to share with each other so that we can inspire others to join Tri-M and be a part of the Tri-M Family!

Beyond the classroom: Music in the community and career
We will explore ways that students can bring music to their community as a group and as individual. We will also discuss how to best prepare yourself to be a "musician on demand." Presented by Janie Brokenicky, of Kansas State University.

Icebreaker Challenge!
We will be playing, experiencing, and trying different icebreakers that you can take back to your chapter as a fun way to get your chapter revved up.

Tri-M Honor Society Sing!
Last year we learned the Tri-M Music Honor Society National song and we want to start and end our day by sharing a moment of music together. We will be singing "Music Masters, Hail to Thee," Tri-M Honor Society's Loyalty Song.

We want YOU! Tri-M Partnership and Recruitment!
Last year we explored what college is all about and heard from amazing collegiate student leaders from around Kansas. This had great feedback and we wanted to bring this opportunity back to the Tri-M Mini conference this year! What better way to get connected and stay connected than to find a partner at the collegiate level! Tri-M chapters and NAfME Collegiate will come together and share fun ideas, icebreakers, and ways to stay involved and active together in their schools through Music.

Tri-M's Got Talent
The 4th annual Tri-M's Got Talent competition will take place again during our Mini- Conference this year. Please bring a 2-3 minute routine/performance to share with the other contestants of the competition. Remember, the more the merrier, so get your chapter involved. A panel of judges will decide who goes home with the coveted "M"eee!!
