Anita Fillingim was a lifelong Kansas native. She was born in Minneola, KS in 1938 and moved to Lincoln, KS where she became a long-time vocal music teacher. Anita was known for her excellent music groups and spectacular musicals. She served as director of the Children's Theatre in Thomaston, Georgia, for several years, and also founded of the "Share the Love" meals ministry in Kingman. At the state level, Anita was instrumental in the development of the KMEA Music Mentoring Program. Anita passed away in November 2015 while living in Kingman.
