Bud Meisel will be greatly missed by the extended KMEA family. His influence in our profession will be long remembered by those fortunate to work with him. Bud worked passionately as a member of the KMEA state board while serving as President of the South Central District of KMEA. He also served his fellow band directors as President of the Kansas Bandmasters Association (1993-95). But more importantly, his achievements while in service to his fellow music educators will always be overshadowed by the positive and lasting influence he had on his students.
