Charlie Molina passed away Tuesday August 21, 2012. Charlie served on the boards of KBA and KMEA and was one of the charter members of KBA which has been instrumental in the success of many young band directors. He was a KU classmate and best friends with Gary Foster, Claude Smith, Johnny Woody, and C.L. Snodgrass. Charlie brought such musicians as Ed Shaughnessey, Louis Bellson, Doc Severinson and many other talented artists to classrooms throughout the years. He and his beloved wife Joyce who passed away earlier this year, were people who made music education a true joy for those teaching and those learning music.Charlie will be remembered by many because of his long and excellent career as an educator and music merchant in Kansas.
