Kansas Alliance for the Arts in Education
Mission
The mission of the Kansas Alliance for the Arts in Education is to ensure that the arts are an integral part of quality preK-12 education to promote students' personal development and academic performance.

At the August KMEA Board Meeting, Barbara Warady presented information about the mission, purpose, and goals of KSAAE. She serves on the Board of Directors along with Mike Quilling, KMEA Vice President. KSAAE brings together parents, educators, community leaders, arts and education organizations, and concerned citizens in a statewide network to plan and implement programs and activities that address state and local issues surrounding arts education.

The three broad goals of KSAAE include:
  1. Advocate for policy that ensures support for preK-12 Arts Education
  2. Professional Development
  3. Build Capacity of the Alliance
On Saturday, September 22, 2012, KSAAE will host a Professional Development Conference and First Annual Meeting at Beach Museum of Art, Kansas State University. For more details, visit www.ksallianceforarts.org or call: 913-522-8509.
