Marion Roberts
Director of Bands at Blue Valley North High School

Marion Roberts was chosen as the Section 5 Music Educator Award Winner by the NFHS because of his excellent accomplishments teaching music in Kansas. During his time at Blue Valley North High School, he has taught 374 all-state band and orchestra students. Marion's high school band has been invited to perform four times for the KMEA ISW. He was named Outstanding Band Director by the Kansas Bandmasters Association (KBA) in 2010 and was president of KBA from 2009-2011. Marion was recognized for receiving this award at the KMEA ISW by KSHAA Consultant, Reggie Romine. KMEA congratulates Marion for receiving this prestigious award.
