Arts Day at the Capitol

Mike Quilling, KMEA Vice President, planned a funfilled day for our KMEA delegation, including meetings with Governor Brownback & Staff, Commissioner of Education Diane DeBacker, Deputy Commissioner of Education Brad Neuenswander, Senator Garrett Love, Representative Annie Kuether, and Kansas Board of Education Chair Ms. Carolyn L. Wims-Campbell.

The KMEA delegation included: Mike Quilling, KMEA Vice President; Fred Burrack, KMEA Advocacy Chair; Avian Bear, KMEA President-Elect; Barbara Waraby, President of the Kansas Alliance for Arts Education (KSAAE); and Mrs. Kansas Bobbie Padgett.
