The Executive Board of the South Central District has been diligently working and planning for our fall events. This year's list of clinicians represents the finest in music education and we are excited to see these educators work with our students. The Elementary Honor Choir Clinician for our October 19, 2013, workshop was Jennifer Johnson from Derby, KS. The Elementary workshop clinician was Janell Krehbiel. We look forward to working with the following clinicians at the November 2, 2013, Honor Group performances:

• Middle School Choir - Angie McKenna, Edmond, Oklahoma
• Middle School Band - Jay Gilbert, Doane College, Nebraska
• 1234A High School Jazz Band - Tim Doherty, Kansas City Jazz Artist
• 56A High School Jazz Band - Lindsey Williams, Music Education and Graduate Research at the University of Missouri-Kansas

Our December Mini-Convention will again take place at two different locations. Maize South High School will host our High School Honor Choirs and Maize High School will host the Instrumental groups. We look forward to working with the following clinicians on December 7, 2013:

• High School Women's Choir - Amy Krinke, Lee's Summit West High School
• High School Orchestra - Jeremy Starr, Emporia State University
